Apabila menyebut saja tentang Cappadocia, apa yang terbayang di kepala saya ialah batu-batu gergasi yang mana dibina rumah di dalamnya, yang ala-ala seperti dalam cerita katun 'The Flinstones' suatu ketika dulu :))
Setelah keluar dari Hotel Gold Yildrim tadi, agenda pertama untuk hari ini ialah ke tempat ni, tak tau sebenarnya yang nama apa... bila tanya kat pakcik google.. maka keluarlah nama Urgup, Fairy Chimney dsb.
Tika sampai je di tempat parking, dari tempat duduk ku lagi, mata ku dah melilau tengok baju yang dipakai untuk 'belly dance' yang bling bling tergantung di luar kedai ni.. hihiii.. teringat pulak saya dengan seorang cikgu zumba yang suka pakai benda tu dan disuruhnya kitorang pun pakai pada hari dia mengajar zumba... kah..kah..kahhh..
Banyak cenderahati yang dijual di sini, tapi kami tak berkesempatan langsung untuk melihat dan membelek barang itu.. jadi, sambil lalu kat situ..hanya mampu jeling-jeling je lah jawabnya..

Former names of the town have been Korama, Matiana, Maccan or Machan, and Avcilar. When Göreme Valley nearby was designated an important tourist destination, a "center" for all tourism in Cappadocia, the name of the town was changed to Göreme for practical reasons.
The Göreme National Park (tr) (Göreme Tarihî Millî Parkı in Turkish) was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1985.
Ürgüp (Greek: Προκόπιο Prokópio or Cappadocian Greek: Προκόπι Prokópi, Ottoman Turkish: Burgut Kalesi) is a town and district of Nevşehir Province in the Central Anatolia region of Turkey. It is located in the historical region of Cappadocia, and near the cave Churches of Göreme. According to 2010 census, the population of the district is 34,372 of which 18,631 live in the town of Ürgüp. The district covers an area of 563 km2 (217 sq mi), and the town lies at an average elevation of 1,043 m (3,422 ft).
Fairy Chimneys of Monk’s Valley
A hoodoo (also called a tent rock, fairy chimney, and earth pyramid) is a tall, thin spire of rock that protrudes from the bottom of an arid drainage basin or badland. Hoodoos, which may range from 1.5 to 45 metres (4.9 to 147.6 ft), typically consist of relatively soft rock topped by harder, less easily eroded stone that protects each column from the elements. They generally form within sedimentary rock and volcanic rock formations.
Hoodoos range in size from the height of an average human to heights exceeding a 10-story building. Hoodoo shapes are affected by the erosional patterns of alternating hard and softer rock layers. Minerals deposited within different rock types cause hoodoos to have different colors throughout their height.

Nampak tak yang berlubang-lubang dalam gua di belakang tu. Itu adalah lubang-lubang 'tingkap' bagi rumah dalam gua tu.

2 buah kedai barangan antik ni terletak bersebelahan dengan kedai yang jual baju belly dance tadi..
Kami kembali menaiki bas untuk meneruskan perjalanan...
Dari dalam bas, kami masih dapat menikmati pemandangan yang unik ini..
Sampai di satu selekoh, bas berhenti seketika bagi membolehkan kami mengambil gambar dengan pemandangan berlatarbelakangkan batu berbentuk unta... hmmm..unik sekali..
